Recruitment Requirements

Our robust Nurse led recruitment practices and induction program ensure that we recruit only the very best healthcare staff to deliver reliable and consistent service to our clients. Requirements to work with RMR cover your professional and personal qualities. Whilst you need to meet the criteria of qualifications and experience, we also look at your personality, caring qualities and demeanour to be suitable to join RMR.

Qualifications

The qualifications required vary depending on the role you’re applying for. More details on the qualifications required for each role an be found on our Professions pages.

Where a qualification is necessary, you will be required to provide your original qualification certificate at the point of interview.

Professional registrations

All healthcare roles that RMR recruit for require registration with the relevant registered body. These include:

  • The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)

Candidates are required to provide proof of active registration to their registered body. RMR will regularly check the status of your registration during your employment.

Experience

All roles employed by RMR require previous paid experience. As a trusted provider of high-quality staff, it is imperative that all candidates possess relevant, paid, experience.

For care staff we require a minimum of 6 months’ paid experience in any care setting that we would place you in e.g. care homes, hospitals, prisons, etc. Voluntary and unpaid experience will not be considered.

Our nursing staff must possess a minimum of 12 months’ post registration experience in a relevant care setting. Candidates must be able to provide proof of placements in these care settings.

References

As a minimum, we aim to confirm at least a period of three consecutive years of continuous employment/training prior to the application being made. References must be from previous employers and nurses will be required to provide referees who can provide a clinical reference.
