Requirements to work with RMR cover your professional and personal qualities. Whilst you need to meet the criteria of qualifications and experience, we also look at your personality, caring qualities and demeanour to be suitable to join RMR.
The qualifications required vary depending on the role you’re applying for. More details on the qualifications required for each role an be found on our Professions pages.
Where a qualification is necessary, you will be required to provide your original qualification certificate at the point of interview.
All healthcare roles that RMR recruit for require registration with the relevant registered body. These include:
- The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
Candidates are required to provide proof of active registration to their registered body. RMR will regularly check the status of your registration during your employment.
All roles employed by RMR require previous paid experience. As a trusted provider of high-quality staff, it is imperative that all candidates possess relevant, paid, experience.
For care staff we require a minimum of 6 months’ paid experience in any care setting that we would place you in e.g. care homes, hospitals, prisons, etc. Voluntary and unpaid experience will not be considered.
Our nursing staff must possess a minimum of 6 months’ post registration experience in a relevant care setting. Candidates must be able to provide proof of placements in these care settings.
As a minimum, we aim to confirm at least a period of three consecutive years of continuous employment/training prior to the application being made. References must be from previous employers and nurses will be required to provide referees who can provide a clinical reference.

Why do you have my data?
We have your data because you have submitted your CV or a job application via a career microsite, or through a social media campaign advert. You will have ticked a box to confirm your consent for us using your data in this way.
How do you store my data?
Your data will be stored on our server and within our Applicant Tracking System, both of which are fully secure. In addition to this, we use analytical tracking software to improve your user experience.
Can I delete or change my data?
You may at any time request the right to be forgotten. Please contact us if you would like your details and associated records removed from our systems, and we will notify you once this has happened.
Similarly, if you wish to make any changes to the data we hold about you then get in touch and we will make the relevant changes for you.
Changes made to data, or the removal of data will be logged by our system for audit purposes.
How can I see what information you have about me?
You have the right to access any data that we hold about you. You may submit a request to access this data verbally, electronically or in hardcopy. All data that you have supplied, such as your CV, application forms, and any recruiter notes and comments will be made available to you free of charge. The system will log the event for audit purposes.
